NEW YORK, N.Y. August 14, 2013—Dreams in Heels PR (DIHPR) welcomes the return of Latin Fashion Week to New York City, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles for the highly anticipated, annual fall fashion week. DIHPR will be hosting a series of events for Latin Fashion Week in New York City prior and post the multi-day event.
This year Latin Fashion Week presents Keep Rising to the Top, a designer contest that tests the top Latin inspired designs. The winner will receive a $1500 cash prize and the opportunity of showcasing their collection during the opening night of the 3-day events of New York Latin Fashion Week. All entries must be submitted online and there is only one entry allowed per designer. The contest runs from August 7-21 and the winner will be announced no later than August 27.
New York Latin Fashion Week will begin on September 12 with an invitation only, VIP and media night. The night will include runway shows, meet and greet, cocktails, interviews on the red carpet, performances and other surprises from 6-10pm at Pillars 38 NYC located at 518 W. 38th Street (btw 10th & 11th Ave), New York, N.Y. The highlight of the night will showcase the collection of the winner of the Keep Rising to the Top contest. On September 13 and 14, all Latin Fashion Week runway shows will be open to the public from 6-10pm. Latin Fashion Week will conclude on September 14 with a spectacular finale. DIHPR invites all guests to celebrate another successful Latin Fashion Week at the private after party.
In an effort to give back to the community, Latin FW is giving 50% of all tickets sales to two charities: Women Beyond Survival (womenbeyondsurvival.org) seeks to help women and children build better lives in conflict and post-conflict societies. Luz Foundation (luz-foundation.org) helps youth to continue to pursue a career in the arts.
